Taslima Nasrin on Muhammad Yunus has ignited a fresh wave of controversy after the exiled Bangladeshi author denounced the Nobel Peace Laureate, branding him a “chaos-creator” and questioning the credibility of the Nobel Peace Prize itself.
Posting from her verified Facebook account, Taslima wrote:
“The Nobel Peace Prize has lost its honor. A man who spreads unrest has been awarded. From now on, people will doubt every Peace Prize winner. They’ll wonder if the recipient is secretly a dangerous man.”
নোবেল পুরস্কারের সুনামটা তিনি নষ্ট করেছেন। একজন অশান্তি-সৃষ্টিকারী লোক পেয়েছেন শান্তির নোবেল। শান্তির নোবেল এখন থেকে…

Continued by urging the Nobel Committee to take the matter seriously. She accused Yunus, now acting as the unelected head of Bangladesh’s caretaker regime, of inciting national instability through armed violence.
She alleged:
“Yunus and his private militant force are trying to overthrow elected Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Killings, rapes, mob rule, and terror have become tools of his power play.”
Taslima Nasrin on Muhammad Yunus took a darker turn as she warned of links with extremist forces:
“He is desperate to turn Bangladesh into a Taliban-style state, using radical Islamists to spread fear and disorder.”
According to her, the awarding of a peace prize to such a figure damages not just Bangladesh’s image, but also the global trust in humanitarian institutions.
Taslima Nasrin on Muhammad Yunus marks a significant moment where a globally respected writer challenges the credibility of one of the world’s most prestigious awards and its recipients.
