Khelafat Majlis candidate in Debidwar, Maulana Mujibur Rahman, held a views-exchange meeting with local journalists at Diana Restaurant on Monday afternoon. Contesting from the Cumilla-4 (Debidwar) constituency with the election symbol ‘Clock’, he discussed his vision for justice, education, and Islamic governance.
He emphasized, “Khelafat Majlis has nominated me with a mandate to implement Islamic values and moral leadership. There is no alternative to honest individuals if we want to ensure true national development.”
Maulana Mujibur Rahman also stated that Islamic scholars must actively participate in politics and come to power through democratic means. He noted that the majority of Islamic political parties are in favor of joining the next election under the Proportional Representation system, except one.
The event was attended by key leaders of the party including Maulana Abu Bakar Siddiq (Central Executive Member), Hafez Maulana Shamim Hasan (Debidwar Upazila President), Abu Yusuf (Vice President), Maulana Habibur Rahman (Cumilla North District Training Secretary), Maulana Motiur Rahman Farazi, Maulana Zahirul Islam, Hafez Kamal Hossain and others.
This media interaction marked an important step in the campaign of the Khelafat Majlis candidate in Debidwar, as he seeks to unite Islamic parties and connect with voters through a value-based political approach.
