Yunus Facebook Criticism has ignited a storm of controversy after renowned feminist author Taslima Nasrin slammed Muhammad Yunus over his social media post appealing for donations to treat children burned in a recent plane tragedy.
In a strongly worded Facebook post, Nasrin accused Yunus of treating the country like one of his NGOs. “He begged the public for donations in NGO-style. Just like he used to raise billions for Grameen Bank from foreign donors, now he thinks he can do the same,” she wrote. “Why should anyone have to beg? Isn’t there money in the government fund?”

She further questioned why billions were being spent on security perimeters for political allies like the King’s Party in Gopalganj, while disaster victims are left uncared for. “The government recently allocated 800 million BDT for a party to terrorize Gopalganj. Thirty crores were collected in the last flood relief fund. Yet Yunus used public funds to pay a 3-crore hotel bill for his luxury tour in London with his entourage,” she added.
Nasrin didn’t hold back in condemning his attitude after the disaster. “Even after hundreds of children died, Yunus was busy doing photo shoots with his smiling entourage. His grin never fades,” she said. She also raised a deeper concern: “Why did he return to Bangladesh when he had international respect? Just to show us how dangerous he can be? To execute a dangerous agenda?”
Yunus Facebook Criticism concludes with a fierce call for his removal: “He is not even a Bangladeshi citizen, yet he sits on the throne of Bangladesh. His greed—for money, power, revenge—knows no bounds. The sooner he leaves, the better.”
