Alhaj Jahangir Alam Sarkar, Member of Parliament of Cumilla-3 (Muradnagar) Constituency, and his son Dr. Ahsanul Alam Sarkar Kishore, member of Central Awami League's Forest and Environment Sub-Committee and Chairman of Muradnagar Upazila Parishad rushed there on Saturday (March 30) on hearing the news of his death.
MP Jahangir Sarkar and Dr. Kishore Alam Sarkar expressed their condolences to the family members of Alamgir Bhuiyan after reaching the funeral.
MP Jahangir Sarkar said, Alamgir Bhuiyan was a selfless leader.
He ran behind the development of the area. He was a favorite organizer among the party leaders.
His death is an irreparable loss for the local Awami League. Upazila Chairman gratefully recalled his immense contribution to the party.
Alamgir Bhuiyan died suddenly on Friday (March 29) night.
Muradnagar Upazila Awami League party leaders and activists were present at the funeral.
After the funeral, Alamgir Bhuiyan was buried in the family graveyard.
