Protest of Taslima Nasrin against Yunus has set social media ablaze. The outspoken author posted a scathing statement on her verified Facebook profile, condemning Nobel laureate Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the de facto leader of Bangladesh’s controversial interim government.
She wrote, “How long will you run the country by scaring people with imaginary ghosts? The level of anarchy, corruption, communalism, injustice, torture, and terrorism you have unleashed in just one year—Hasina didn’t do that even in 15 years of authoritarian rule.”

Taslima further alleged, “In the name of reform, you’re now planting Jamaati-jihadi extremists inside offices, courts, the secretariat, and educational institutions. These are the very forces trying to destroy all pro-Liberation elements of the state.”
