Staff Correspondent : He received ‘Sheikh Hasina Youth Volunteer Award 2022’ for her contribution for humanity Journalist And, set an example of another excellence of humanitarian works on Tuesday. ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak was present at the event as the chief guest and handed over aid materials among 50 women and 5 meritorious students along with other guests.

Palak in his speech said, “Everyone talks about the problem, but only the brave show the way to solve the problem. Our Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is such a brave woman. She came to power in 1996 and introduced 60 per cent quota for women in primary schools. She announced that women can do this job after passing SSC.”

“Only a woman knows how to run a family for a whole month with a low income. That’s why I say a woman is the greatest economist in the world,” he added.

At that time, Palak praised the activities of the present committee of BCL and asked the leaders and activists of the organization to implement the vision of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina with knowledge and skills.

Awami League office secretary Biplob Barua in his welcome speech said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been playing a unique role in the empowerment of women all over the world.

Sheikh Hasina is another name for women’s empowerment in Bangladesh, he added.

AL International Affairs Secretary Shammi Ahmed, Member Marufa Akhter Popy, BCL President Al-nahean Khan Joy, General Secretary Lekhak Bhattacharjee, Navana Group’s CEO Wahed Azizur Rahman and Dhaka University Chhatra League President Sanjit Chandra Das and General Secretary Saddam Hussain were also present there as the special guests.
