Dhaka Jamaat Rally 2025 preparations turned tragic as Maulana Abu Sayeed, Jamaat-e-Islami’s Upazila Ameer from Khulna’s Dacope, was killed in a road accident at Bhanga Bus Stand, Faridpur, around 3 a.m. Friday. A Royal Paribahan bus rammed into a stationary convoy, leaving him dead on the spot.
Two others—Anisur Rahman and Md. Kamal Hossain—were injured and admitted to Faridpur Medical College Hospital, with Anisur reportedly in critical condition. Bhanga Highway Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge Md. Rokibuzzaman confirmed the incident.

According to Munshi Moinul Islam, assistant secretary of Khulna district Jamaat, they were en route to attend the national Jamaat rally scheduled for Saturday at Dhaka’s Suhrawardy Udyan. Maulana Abu Sayeed had stepped off the bus during a stop when he was fatally struck from behind.
The untimely death of a senior leader while heading to the Dhaka Jamaat Rally 2025 has cast a pall of grief over the party’s grassroots activists and organizers.
