In her emotionally charged post, she paints a chilling image of apathy:
“When children were reduced to coal and thrown from windows, he laughed. When their tiny bodies writhed in hospital beds, he laughed. When mothers screamed like mad, he still laughed. And while the country drowned in sorrow, he sat in political meetings discussing more destruction — sipping orange juice and smiling.”

Though she did not use his name directly, her post unmistakably targets Prime Minister Muhammad Yunus, who assumed power following the controversial ousting of the previous government.

The phrase “Taslima Nasrin slams PM Yunus” is now trending on social media, with many praising her courage and condemning what they see as a regime divorced from public empathy.

Critics say Yunus’s failure to publicly grieve or respond with compassion to the Milestone fire has deepened his image as a disconnected autocrat.

With her fearless post, Taslima Nasrin slams PM Yunus not just as a leader, but as a human being who, in her view, has failed his people in their darkest hour.
