Had the hidden Shibir connections from the previous six committees also come to light, the context of the August 5 incident would be crystal clear. Termites have been eating away at this organization for years. Those who entered politics out of love and idealism were the first to be pushed aside or excluded. This blow was inevitable. The tears of grassroots activists had to be avenged. But there is hope—fire doesn’t just produce ashes, it forges steel. No one can stop a purified, Shibir-free Awami League grounded in Bangabandhu’s ideals. Generations carry this ideology forward—it cannot be extinguished, only reborn.”
Her words struck a nerve with thousands of Chhatra League members and supporters across the country. Reactions poured in:
